This year we have a Ninja, Robin, and Steve (from Minecraft). Also, notice the table and chairs in the back! We are setting up for a fun party - rockin' music through the loud speakers and giving away hot dogs, chips, and water! Neon nights!!

Halloween 2012
Introducing
Halloween 2012
starring
Lego Batman Villains:
Chase Hughes as The Riddler
Thomas Hughes as Two Face
and Mary Frances as Catwoman
We had fun with costumes this year! Mary Frances and Chase's costumes were pretty easy, but we couldn't find a Two-Face costume that Thomas liked. So, this year, I made one! We went to Goodwill and picked out 2 shirts and 2 pairs of pants, and I made his costume...even the tie! It was a lot of fun to see the finished product! My dad made Chase's riddler cane, too!
We had candy for all the kids, but we also set out apple slices, peanuts, and sprinkles with caramel AND hot chocolate! Ray C. cranked up some party music, and we had a really great night.
Honey, Grandaddy, Papa G. and Jessie all came over too! Jessie even joined the Batman fun and dressed up as Poison Ivey! She's such a great Aunt!
And, before everyone left, Thomas wanted to give a little concert of the new things he has been learning! He did a great job, but it was funny to watch with his outfit still on and half of his head shaved!

Halloween 2010
Hannah Montana, Batman, and Indiana Jones all showed up at our house this weekend!
We had a blast trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. I think we had at least twice as many trick-or-treaters as last year! It was so much fun!
Our neighbor, Marilyn, always has a good time at Halloween, too! We had to get our picture made with her!
Even Curly and Sugar had costumes to match the boys. Sugar didn't keep hers own for a minute, but Curly did great in his Batman costume!
Hannah's hair was a little too itchy. So, it didn't stay on long, but she still rocked all night long!
Indiana kept his candy in his satchel and had a hard time controlling his whip!
And Batman....
well, when the Joker showed up across the street from our house, he ran over and defended it! It was a fun night choc-full of candy, scary costumes, and fun! Not my favorite holiday to celebrate, but we had a good time!

Pumpkin Hiney

We pass this funny sight several times a day, and it has given us GREAT joy and laughter this fall. So, I wanted to share it with you all and document it for later in life! Just before we get to it, one person yells "pumpkin hiney," and everyone else stops their conversations (or arguing) to check it out for another laugh!!
Isn't it hilarious?

Halloween
The kids love Halloween. We don't go very far from our end of the street because there is so much going on! All of our neighbors come outside and sit in the driveway just before dark. So, we hand out candy from there! The kids have such a blast together!
This is a picture of Thomas and Chase carefully checking out the Haunted House next door. Our neighbor's son came home with a friend and turned her garage into a haunted house! I told the kids before we went outside that it would be too scary and they shouldn't go in, but they wanted to see it. So, they walked in and got the scary part but it didn't affect them! It wasn't too bad! Although, someone did jump out at them!

My cow, fairy garden princess, and cowboy! Thomas had suggested that Chase could take a rope and that every time he hit Thomas with the rope, Thomas would have to give him a piece of his candy. However, after explaining to Thomas that Chase would take all of his candy, he saw the problem and gave up on the rope idea!

Look what I did! The kids and I chose what we wanted and then I carved it! They helped pull out all the guts and seeds!

Our neighbor's son and daughter! Meredith is mentally handicapped. She was afraid of her mom (the witch) all night. So, she stayed with me and helped hand out candy! We had a good time!
The Haunted House - and Chase checking it out once again! He was determined that they were not going to scare him - AND THEY DIDN'T!

Our neighborhood put on a Howl-o-ween fest for Halloween. We took the dogs up to the park for several hours and enjoyed the parade and costume contest - which we participated in! Thomas and Sugar were cows. Curly was an angel. Mary Frances was a Fairy Garden Princess - also wearing wings, and Chase was a cowboy - go figure!! We didn't stray to far from reality this year - except for the dog being an angel!
This is Mary Frances and Payton - our "front-door" neighbor!

We had so much fun watching the dock-diving contest and the Frisbee Dogs! I really want Thomas to do frisbee with Sugar! It is an awesome sport for a person to do with their pet!! And Sugar would LOVE it!!

Fall Festival
Chase was sick last week. So, we had to split up for the fall festival, but Pam managed to snap this shot during the few minutes that I was actually there!
Mary Frances is dressed up as a Fairy Garden Princess - complete with pink hair! Curly is a cross-dresser in Mary Frances' tutu! We would have gotten away with fooling everyone if he wouldn't have hiked on everything he saw!
