Mini Cinnamon Rolls

My family loves these cinnamon rolls, and they're fun to make!

Ingredients:
2 pkgs. crescent rolls (8 each)
softened butter
Cinnamon/sugar mixture
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Unroll the crescent rolls, but keep them in the rectangles (2 together).  Roll out the 8 rectangles, and pinch the seam between the 2 rolls.  Smooth out the rolls with a rolling pin.  Spread plenty of butter over the rectangle and then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Roll the rectangle and then cut into 5 sections.  Place the mini rolls into a deep dish baker.  They may seem crowded, but they will cook well.  Bake in 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until golden.

For icing:
While cinnamon rolls are baking, mix together the powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.  You may need to add a little more milk to get the right consistency.  Spread the icing over the baked cinnamon rolls and serve warm!!!
Yummy!

Hairy Egg Yolks?

Chase just told me..."I don't like the yellow part of the egg because when I eat it, I can taste the hair from the baby chicken."

Breakfast in Bed

Mary Frances served me breakfast in bed this morning - 2 pieces of toast smothered in peanut butter and a glass of water (covered with Saran wrap so it wouldn't spill on the way to the bedroom).

After giving me the breakfast, she curled up in bed with me and said, "Do you want two pieces of toast?"

I replied, "Would you like one of my pieces?" She quickly answered, "Yes! I'm starving!"

So, we enjoyed our breakfast in bed while watching Barbie! Ahhh....these are the days!

New Incentive Chart

We started a new incentive chart a few weeks ago that encourages the kids to obey with a good attitude - not just obey!!! So, they get points for doing what they are supposed to IF they choose to do it with a good attitude! If they do it with a bad attitude or have to be reminded more than once, they just don't get the points! It has been a wonderful addition to our life!

So, the reward for the first week was cooking a special breakfast with mommy on Saturday morning! They chose....

BISCUITS
BACON
EGGS (and toast)!

We had a lot of fun making the breakfast and it was delicious!!
