Egypt Day

The first graders learned all about Egypt in the last 2 weeks and finished up the unit with "Egypt Day". They had so much fun dressing up like Egyptian pharoahs, princes, and queens! Thomas and Jaryn, our neighbor, helped us make their costumes the night before. I went up to the school the next day to do some of the rotations with the kids. They made jewelry & head dresses, built pyramids out of sugar cubes, played "Are you Smarter than your Mummy?", and more! It was a lot of fun, and I can't believe how much they learned!

Thomas and Jaryn built "Patroclea" out of everything you could imagine all week long. It took a week of correcting them to finally learn her name was "Cleopatra"!!
