Anxious Dog?

What is the deal? Sugar is terrified of the thunder and lightning. She kept us up for several hours last night panting because she was so nervous.

We had a huge storm that dumped 4-8 inches of rain in our area in a matter of just 3 hours! Schools are even closed today!

Anyway, I am going to call the vet today to see if we can get her some type of anxiety medication because she is really afraid. We feel so bad for her, but at 2:00 in the morning, compassion isn't flowing readily!

Connie's female boxer is afraid of storms too.

Yes...our Hope is TERRIFIED of storms!! But usually if she can be with us through the storm she is ok. Vets have a "doggy valium" they can give for the anxiety, I think it's Diazipem...not sure if I spelled it right! We don't use it but I know it works well! Good luck to you and Sugar :)
